This page explains which personal data this site, babelpen.com, uses, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights. The application at app.babelpen.com is not covered here.

The data we use

• Your IP address and the technical information sent by your browser (page requested, date, browser), in the server logs: to run the site and protect it from abuse.
• Your language choice, only if you make one in the language menu: it is kept in a cookie, on your device.
• If you write to us: your email address and your message, so that we can reply.

Why we are allowed to

Logs are used to run and protect the site (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The language cookie keeps a choice you made. Your messages are used to reply to you. Nothing is sold, nothing is used for advertising.

Who receives your data

The site is hosted by VICEM, SAS au capital de 50 000 € (RCS Paris 924 990 849). It loads nothing from any other site: no fonts, no scripts, no analytics. Nobody else receives your data.

How long

Server logs are deleted after 14 days. The language cookie expires after one year; you can delete it at any time from your browser. Your messages are kept for the duration of our exchange.

Cookies

The site sets only one cookie, and only if you choose a language in the menu: it keeps that choice. No analytics or advertising cookies, so no consent is asked.

Your rights

You can access your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict its use. Write to us: contact@babelpen.com. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the data protection authority of your country (in France, the CNIL).
